OUR STORY

WELCOME TO  POMONA AUSTRALIAN HONEY

Since 2020, Jonathan and Janine have been researching, learning, and extracting honey as apiarists.

Pomona Bush Honey is a Regional NSW family business that carefully packs quality 100% Australian honey.

We are certified beekeepers, so we understand the industry. Thanks to the blossoms of the river red gums, the blossoms of the citrus and fruit trees in the large citrus growing region of border shire Wentworth and Sunraysia along the Darling River and Murray River, we are able to present many varieties of honey from our property in regional NSW through our contacts and experience.

Our varieties change throughout the beekeeping year; when one tree finishes flowering, the bees are relocated to the next area with nectar-producing trees, which could be hundreds of kilometres away. Because the trees only flower on occasion, some of our varieties are quite rare.

"Bush Honey" is always on hand. (Our most popular variety because we don't blend for colour or flavour.) It is constantly changing, sometimes very light and sometimes very dark - completely dependent on the mixed floral source the bees are gathering at the time.

The name of our straight flavours is derived from the predominant tree flowering. Wattle, Citrus Trees, Mallee Tree, Avocado, Mulga, Banksia, Coolibah, and our premium honey from our River Red Gums are examples of native trees in the region.
